Today – Dec. 7, 2021 – marks the 80th commemoration of the Japanese assaults on the U.S. armada at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The unexpected assaults, which prompted the U.S. entering World War II, killed somewhere in the range of 2,400 Americans and injured 1,700 more.

On the whole, the U.S. lost almost 20 boats and 300 planes.
